So I saw a prompt in another fandom along the lines of where you choose your five favorite pieces of content you created, tell why you like them, and link them so other people can see it.
And I need a distraction so I’m gonna do it.
Here they are:
1. Vir Suledin, Vir Harillen - I thought my idea of a Lavellan reapplying her markings after Solas takes them was a unique idea. I’m proud of the characters I created too and how I showed the varying perspectives of the Dalish on a Lavellan that romanced Solas.
2. Nightmares - I think I did a good job capturing my Hawke’s despair. Plus the ending is just *chef’s kiss followed by tears*
3. Herald of Change - Frankly, I’m just proud I wrote 19 chapters of something. I hope I can finish the damn thing before DA4 ruins it.
4. The Night Before - I’m proud because it’s my first fic ever and I loved writing about the anxiety and fear a Lavellan must have felt agreeing to something so dangerous as attending the Conclave. I also got to build ‘Manehn’s home life and dynamics. I also think it’s pretty good for my first ever fic. I actually think the quality is higher than my later stuff.
5. Breaking the Mask - I just wanted to take Solas down a peg and have him face the consequences of his callousness.
Summary:
The aftermath of tragedy sends Elain, Sar'een, and Revas to very dark places. Milly has to face her part in the events.
Content Warnings: harm to a minor, amputation, threats of violence, standard dark fantasy fare
Author’s Notes: IT’S BEEN AWHILE. I’ve been chugging along with writing and I’m edging closer to finishing this arc up by September. Instead of posting it all at once like I planned, I’m going ahead and starting a slow drip. That way, I might actually bring back a small audience for the finale! Maybe!

“You will certainly understand why we did not attempt to include outsiders to this meeting.” Elain answered instead, and Sar’een was selfishly grateful for it. “The wounds upon my son were grievous.”
“I tended to the wounds myself, if you recall,” Elindra reminded her.
“And for that I am thankful,” Elain answered her easily, “but trust isn’t built upon aid alone. An attempt has been made on my life, and my son suffers even now. Shall I place my hand in a wolf’s mouth, simply because it dropped a bone in front of me?”
Elindra chuckled softly, though there was nothing amusing about the situation. “Am I a wolf now, come to prey on the soft bellies of halla?”
“Anything with teeth looks like a wolf to the halla whose life is in danger.”
I mean, I’m glad I’m back to work with a decent job I like well enough but I feel so burned out after the end of my shift that I haven’t even touched my longfic since July of last year 😞
Which really sucks because I produced like 14 chapters during the major quarantine time and the second I had to go back to work, my writing productivity plummeted

My friend Amaranth just released a brand new mod that allows you to have platonic relationships with the candidates! (NOTE: You can take your preferred candidates out of the config so you can have just that person be romantic and everyone else platonic!) She has also changed anything romantic related to be platonic, and there’s a commitment ceremony and such! I’ve been playtesting for her for awhile now, and it looks so so good!!
